Recommendations (Tezkiyat) for Sheikh Badokhon

Shaykh Arafat Ibn HaSAN AL-MUHAMMADI

  • Shaykh Arafat Al-Muhammadi said in a written statement dated 11/01/1440: “The brother and shaykh Ahmad Ibn Sulayman Badokhon is among the best righteous students of religious knowledge whose efforts and da‘wah Allah has made beneficial. Indeed, I have known him as a student exerting great effort in acquiring and transmitting knowledge, as a Salafi who loves and defends the Salafi call, and who loves his scholars. This is how I regard him, and Allah is his Judge, and I do not declare anyone’s purity before Allah.”

Shaykh Abbas Al-jaWnah

  • Shaykh Abbas Al-Jawnah said: “Our brother Ahmad is among our righteous and insightful brothers who studied for a considerable period in Maʿbar. He knows of the course and the (deviant) methodology of Muhammad Al-Imam what even his senior students did not know, such that he certainly advised him regarding some of his positions and fatwas. And his refutations against him are correct and successful.”

Shaykh imad al-Adani

  • Shaykh Imad Al-Adani was asked on 24/11/1443 in the following terms: “There are those who say that Shaykh Ahmad Badokhon — may Allah preserve him — is small in knowledge, that he is a troublemaker, and that people overestimate him. What do you know of him? Do you advise benefiting from him?” To which he replied: “This statement is not true, and we know of Shaykh Ahmad Badokhon — may Allah preserve him — only good. And Shaykh Ahmad is upon the Sunnah, endowed with knowledge and good character. We regard him as such, and Allah is his Judge, and we do not declare anyone’s purity before Allah. He is active and exerts blessed efforts in calling to Allah, the Most High, in Yemen and elsewhere, as well as in refuting the people of misguidance and the deviants such as the Sufis, Muhammad Al-Imam and his supporters. Therefore, I advise the brothers to benefit from him and to seize the opportunity of his presence in a place in order to benefit from him.”

Shaykh SALAH KEntush

  • Shaykh Salah Kentush was asked in the following terms: “Many brothers ask who Ahmad Badokhon is, what is his situation, and is he recommended?” To which he replied: “Yes, our brother Shaykh Ahmad Badokhon Ash-Shabawi, we have known him for some time. He is among the best shaykhs and students of religious knowledge, devoted to the Sunnah. And the proof of this is that he did not show fanaticism for his shaykh, the burned-out Ikhwani Muhammad Al-Imam. On the contrary, he spoke the truth and rejected falsehood. A just person does not disparage or insult him. One must benefit from his high moral character and his nobility, and there is much to be gained from him. May Allah reward him with goodness.”

Shaykh Nizar Ibn Hashim

  • Shaykh Nizar Ibn Hashim said: “Our brother Shaykh Ahmad Badokhon — may Allah preserve and protect him — we know of him only good, and that he exerts much effort. May Allah reward him with goodness for his cooperation with the brothers and the youth, as well as for his presence in Sudan. He has not fallen short in his duty, and may Allah increase his reward as well as the reward of those who strive for such study programs to spread the Salafi call and to cooperate in goodness, virtue, and piety, if Allah wills. May Allah reward them all with goodness. The shaykh is upon the path of good; we regard him as such, and Allah is his true Judge. I have not heard any reproach against him from the people of knowledge. On the contrary, I have heard the opposite. We ask Allah, Exalted is He, to make brother Ahmad beneficial, to reward him with goodness, to raise his rank, and to grant success to all in that which He loves and is pleased with.”
